On Tuesday, April 3rd, 2012 at 2003 hours, Manhasset-Lakeville F.D. Company 5 was dispatched to Shelter Rock Road at the Long Island Expressway for a reported vehicle fire. Deputy Chief Pisani (8702) was the first unit to respond and was advised that NCPD units were confirming a vehicle fire. Upon hearing this, Deputy Chief Pisani asked that Company 2 be added to the alarm.
Engines 8725 and 8758 responded and stretched two foam hose lines to extinguish the stubborn vehicle fire and all units were released from the scene by Chief of Department Dillon (8701) within forty five minutes.
