On Thursday, November 10th, 2011 at 0513 hours Manhasset-Lakeville F.D. Company 2, Heavy Rescue 8730, Rescue 8757, and the Ambulance Unit were dispatched to a reported motor vehicle accident with entrapment in front of 251 Searingtown Road, in the vicinity of the Saint Ignatius Retreat House.
Chief of Department Dillon (8701) and Deputy Chief Pitzer (8704) were the first units to respond and were advised by dispatch that NCPD units on the scene were requesting the Hurst tool forthwith for a head on collision between two vehicles. Multiple Manhasset-Lakeville F.D. units responded and assisted NCPD ESB and EAB units with extricating the remaining patient.
A total of three patients were transported to area hospitals by NCPD Ambulances, all units were released from the scene by Chief Dillon in approximately fifteen minutes.
