March 1st, 2014 - W/B L.I.E. West of Searingtown Road
On Saturday, March 1st, 2014 at 10:29PM, Manhasset-Lakeville Fire Department Companies 3, 5 and the Ambulance Unit were toned out to the westbound Long Island Expressway west of the Searingtown Road entrance ramp for a reported car versus a tree. Deputy Chief Candan (8704) arrived on the scene and reported that there was one patient trapped inside the vehicle with the vehicle up against a tree. The crew of Squad 8759 immediately used their extrication equipment to remove the trapped driver and they were transported by NCPD Ambulance 2366 to North Shore University Hospital. All units were released from the scene by Deputy Chief Garrigan (8703) within thirty minutes.
